The Wim Bosman Group, 3PL+ logistics service provider, officially announced that the organisation is going to change its name to Mainfreight as of December 2016. Mainfreight is a logistics service provider with 239 branches all over the world. The Wim Bosman Group has been a Mainfreight member, since it was purchased by the organisation in 2011.
In 1963 Mr. Wim Bosman, founder of the Wim Bosman Group, bought his first truck. In 53 years the organisation has become an important logistic services provider in Europe, with over 2.000 highly motivated team members. In April 2011 the Wim Bosman Group was purchased by Mainfreight and as a result of this acquisition the organisation became a global player backed by a powerful network for customer specific and preferably integrated warehousing, transport and distribution solutions. In the last five years we have opened new branches in Bergen op Zoom (The Netherlands), Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Frankfurt and Gelsenkirchen (Germany), London (United Kingdom) and Poznań/ Luboń (Poland). Beside expansion of our branches in Europe, we also changed addresses at our Air & Ocean branches in Rotterdam and Antwerp and already re-named the existing Wim Bosman branches in the countries France, Poland, Russia and Ukraine to Mainfreight.
‘Anything is possible’
The transport and logistics business is one of the fastgrowing industries in the world with large multinational competitors. By changing the name, the organisation will be able to expand its global services for both existing and future customers. Mainfreight is built on a 100-year vision with an ‘anything is possible’ attitude. The organisation is committed to deliver freight consignments on time and damage-free and to promptly and honestly resolve issues when they arise. The name change will better reflect the current and future direction of the Wim Bosman Group, as it will leverage the strength of both organisations and align the brand identities.
Strengthen the outstanding quality
The new name will strengthen the outstanding quality and efficient supply chain services to all customers worldwide. With locations in Asia, Australia, Europe, New Zealand and the United States the Wim Bosman Group will be able to optimize its integrated warehousing, transport and distribution solutions. The name change puts the organisation in a better position to grow.
Proud to be Mainfreight!
In December 2016 we will officially change the name of the Wim Bosman Group to Mainfreight. There will be no consequences for our customers, as we will still have the same people, offering the same quality and services as in the last 53 years. Our customers can still rely on excellent supply chain solutions and an enthusiastic team which is focused on great performances and quality. The Wim Bosman Group is proud to be Mainfreight!
Global supply chain provider Mainfreight was founded by Mr. Bruce Plested in 1978 in New Zealand. In the years that followed Mainfreight expanded its global footprint by opening branches across Asia, Australia, Europe and the United States. In 2011 Mainfreight became a global supply chain provider after the acquisition of the Wim Bosman Group. Currently the organisation has 239 branches with more than 6,400 team members worldwide.
